Humane Society Pet Photo Contest

The Humane Society is ready to see your photogenic pets. It’s time for the 2010 Furry Faces Pet Photo Contest, the Jacksonville Humane Society’s annual fundraiser.

You can mail in your photo or email, and a panel will select 50 dogs and 50 cats to be finalists.

From there, the vote goes to the public to pick the 12 winners. Half will be cats, half dogs.

The winners used to appear on a paper calendar, but as times change, so too do pet photo contests.

“We are really excited about this year’s Furry Faces contest,” said Leona Sheddan, executive director of JHS. “As more people track their schedules on smart devices, they no longer need traditional, paper calendars. Many of our donors have requested that we follow this trend. We will now feature the 12 winning photos monthly on our Web site. This new contest format also gives us the chance to go green by eliminating printed materials.”

Make it snappy for photo competition

READING scenes will be in the frame in a church competition to find a photo for its offices.

Reading Family Church is challenging amateur photographers to snap a scene that shows the spirit of the town. Pastor Sean Green, who earlier this year based his sermons on news stories from sister paper The Chronicle, said: “Images that capture the changing face of Reading, new buildings coming up or old buildings going down would be interesting. I do like looking at our history but also what we are becoming as a town.”

Digital Scrapbooking Software

Scrapbooking is a terrific hobby! I love that each scrapbook I make is a testament to all of the love and care that I’ve put into making it. I have made scrapbooks as gifts for friends and family, and of course, I love to make them as a way to display my own favorite photos!

However, I am currently on a strict budget and am finding it tough to justify spending so much money on the scrapbooking paraphernalia that I need to make my scrapbooks perfect. Scrapbooking is a great hobby, but it is also a very, very expensive one!

To get around the budget constraint, I have found an excellent alternative: digital scrapbooking software! Until I started shopping around online for cheaper scrapbooking materials, I had never even heard of this option before. And it’s awesome!

Digital scrapbooking software is revolutionizing the scrapbooking hobby, and taking it to a whole new level! There are programs out there now that allow you to upload your photographs, place them in a variety of unique, creative templates, and create a fabulous digital scrapbook that can then be printed, or published.

It’s terrific! And the best part is that digital scrapbooking download is FREE! That’s right: FREE! It’s great marketing on the part of the website, or business that is offering it. They offer the digital scrapbooking software for free. You can play, create, design, and if you like it, you then have the option of paying them to professionally publish and mail you your scrapbook. You don’t have to have it published if you don’t like your final product, but it looks great if you do decide to have it printed!

I find that I have saved so much money using this digital scrapbooking software. The digital scrapbooking software that I use offers an unbelievable variety of features like add-ons, clip-art and backgrounds to choose from.

Initially I was a little bit worried that scrapbooks I created online wouldn’t have the same jazzy effect as the traditional paper ones I used to make. I was worried that digital images would be no replacement for all the great stickers and stamps that I usually buy at scrapbooking stores. But I was wrong! I honestly think that my digital scrapbooks are every bit as creative, unique and artistic as the ones that I used to make! Think about it: you can even use your scanner to scan images like birth certificates or greeting cards onto your computer! It’s amazing!

The other benefits to using photo scrapbook software to scrapbook are convenience (it’s all right there on your computer), and organization (I don’t’ have boxes of scrapbooking materials lying around my house anymore!).

I highly recommend digital scrapbooking software. My personal favorite is the software from Avatree. Digital scrapbooking software has really changed the way I scrapbook, and I couldn’t be happier!

Photo Scrapbook Software

Scrapbooking is all the rage these days! Countless people spend hundreds, and even thousands of dollars per year buying scrapbook paraphernalia to support their craft. Items such as stickers, specialty glue and tape, paper edging, photo corners, and other such “flair” all cost money!

Scrapbooking is an art that can be very expensive and time consuming, but also very rewarding when you feel happy and proud of your final product. The entire process of creating a traditional paper scrapbook can be costly, but luckily now there is a free photo scrapbook software available that will eliminate a great deal of the time and expense of traditional scrapbooking, without sacrificing quality!

With the right digital scrapbooking download, you can create beautiful, unique calendars, scrapbooks, and photo albums of professional quality. These creations can be produced quickly and easily as long as you have both a digital cameral and a computer. With that basic equipment on hand, all that is needed is the photo scrapbook software.

There are many options for photo scrapbook software on the internet today, but you need to know which of the options offer the highest quality. You need to carefully examine the website that is offering the photo scrapbook software, as a website is an excellent indication of the product that it is promoting.

When considering a website, keep the following key points in mind:

- Does the website look professional? Does it appear to have been creating by a professional web designer? A website that projects a professional image often indicates online legitimacy.

- Does the website have a ‘contact’ page? Make certain that there is a contact page on the website offering the product in case you ever run into a situation in which you have a question or concern (you want to know who to get a hold of!). In order to test the legitimacy of the website, phone the 1-800 number or email the email address listed on the ‘contact’ page.

- Does the website offer any type of free giveaways to help you get started on your digital scrapbooking projects? Look for such free items as additional clip-art and backgrounds for download. The more resources, the more value is added to the software being offered.

- Finally, is the photo scrapbook software being offered on the website FREE? Most companies charge for printing of the final scrapbook product, but the software used to make the scrapbook should be free! There is some great photo scrapbook software out there – take advantage of the free offer!

There are many options on the internet today for photo scrapbook software. If you make an intelligent software choice, you will be able to create high quality scrapbooks to be proud of. Impress you friends and family with your digital creativity!
